Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Overnight in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern safari circuit. You’ll have some time to relax and recover from your flight, or you can take a short tour around Arusha to explore local markets and enjoy the vibrant culture.
Overnight: Greenside Hotel

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and head towards Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive herds of elephants and impressive baobab trees, Tarangire is a true gem in Tanzania’s safari circuit.
Spend the afternoon exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, including its swamps, rivers, and savannah. You’ll likely encounter large herds of elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. The park is also home to lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Overnight: Enjoy a comfortable stay at Karatu Safari Camp Lodge, set in a peaceful and scenic location, where you can unwind after your exciting game drive.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast at Tembo Tarangire Tented Lodge, depart Tarangire and drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse wildlife.
Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day game drive exploring the park’s varied landscapes, from dense forests to the shores of the soda lake. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, baboons, hippos, and a rich variety of bird species that make this park a birdwatcher’s paradise.
In the late afternoon, proceed to your lodge near the park for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful scenery and views over the lake. 🦁🦩

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, head into the heart of Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world. The park’s endless plains are home to an incredible array of wildlife. Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may witness the migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or encounter the park’s large predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Overnight: Return to Serengeti Safari Camp, a luxury camp that offers an intimate safari experience with outstanding service, delicious food, and exceptional comfort in the heart of the Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend another thrilling day exploring the Serengeti’s vast landscapes. The Serengeti is renowned for its exceptional game viewing opportunities, and today you’ll continue to discover the wildlife in various regions of the park. You may choose to take a hot-air balloon safari at dawn for a breathtaking aerial view of the Serengeti, or visit a local Maasai village for a cultural experience.
Overnight: Return to Serengeti Safari Camp for another night of luxury under the African skies.
Day 6: Drive to the Eyasi Basin
After breakfast, drive to the Eyasi Basin, located on the western edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Lake Eyasi is a seasonal soda lake, and the surrounding area is home to some of the most fascinating indigenous communities in Tanzania, such as the Hadza and Datoga communities.
Overnight: Arrive at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a serene and scenic setting, perfect for unwinding after the long drive.
Day 7: Lake Eyasi Encounter
Spend the day engaging with the Hadza, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Africa. You’ll learn about their traditional hunting methods, their way of life, and how they survive in this arid environment. You may also visit the Datoga community, known for its traditional beadwork and metalworking skills. Experience their rich culture and learn about their ancient practices.
Overnight: Return to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for a restful night, reflecting on the cultural experiences of the day.
Upon arrival at Lake Victoria, check in to your lodge overlooking the sparkling waters. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, enjoying the sunset, or taking a short boat ride to explore the shoreline and local fishing communities. This peaceful setting offers a welcome contrast to the excitement of the Serengeti and a chance to experience rural Tanzanian life.
Dinner and overnight stay at a lakeside lodge, preparing for your journey into Kenya the next day.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will have some time to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge before heading back to Arusha. Your guide will transfer you to Arusha for your return flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Reflect on your incredible safari adventure as you prepare for your departure. Bid farewell to Tanzania, carrying home memories of an unforgettable journey through the country’s iconic landscapes and vibrant cultures.
