Overview

Lake Manyara National Park is a compact but diverse wildlife park located between Arusha and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, famous for its lush groundwater forest, open savannah, and the alkaline Lake Manyara that attracts  flamingos and other water birds. Despite its smaller size, the park is rich in wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and the unique tree-climbing lions it is known for.
